The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary will host an unmissable musical event as part of the cycle « Sacred Itineraries in the Church« .
Event program:4 p.m.: Guided tour of the church with the theme The Sojourn in Rome by Guido Reni, by Rector Brother Gian Nicola Paladino OFMCap.
4:45 p.m.: Music critique by Artistic Director, Prof. Giammarco Fabiola, professor of Organ at the L’Aquila State Conservatory of Music « A. Casella. »
To follow: Organ Concert, performed by Maestro Giovanni Faedda, organist of the « Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina » Conservatory of Music in Cagliari.
The musical program will feature performances of pieces by great masters of sacred organ music, including:
– D. Buxtehude (1637 – 1707) – Prelude and Fugue in G-dur, BuxWV 147– J.S. Bach (1685 – 1750) – Fugue in g-moll BWV 542– L. Boëllmann (1862 – 1897) – Prière à Notre-Dame from the Suite Gothique, op. 25– M. Reger (1873 – 1916) – Consolation op. 65, no. 5 and Fugue in D-dur, op. 59 no. 5– Improvisation on a theme by Maestro Giovanni Faedda (1982)The event is free of charge. In addition, reduced admission will be available for an optional tour of the Museum and Crypt.
